Currently, there is 440 billion pounds of plastic waste in our ocean, with 89% of it being single-use.
Not only does this make our ocean look gross, but it leads to over a million marine animal deaths a year due to choking and entanglement.
Insight: People don’t realize single-use plastic’s impact on the earth, and how little by little, this trash can add up.
Idea: Ocean Conservancy takes advantage of Spotify Wrapped 2024 running behind and asks their users to wait a little longer in order to showcase plastic’s impact on the world through music data.
